too many people date people they don’t even know. you can be in a relationship for a year, two years, three years, four years, etc etc etc and still not know a person. you can know what they like and dislike, what makes them laugh and cry, and all that junk… but you still wouldn’t know the person. what people don’t understand is that you have to develop your goddamn fucking interpersonal intelligence. people don’t fucking know each other.
edit: again, i cannot fucking begin to exaggerate that society screwed up in prizing only one intelligence. there are too many people who are stupid in this world. i scoff at IQ tests, and even more-so at the people who believe THAT’S what determines someone’s intelligence (and before you go batshit, i’m NOT talking about your precious logical-mathematical intelligence). there are nine types of intelligence, and achieving 1/9 isn’t going to determine how smart you are.
